Korean Plant-a-School Program Grants
The Korean Education Centre will provide $30,000 over 3-years to seed the teaching and learning of Korean in Australian primary and secondary schools.
We invite expressions of interest from primary and secondary schools interested in introducing a Korean language program.
About the program
The Korean Plant a School Program (KPASP) is a 3-year program which assists Australian Schools to seed and sustain the teaching and learning of the Korean language by providing financial support.
This program was reviewed and approved by the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in 2022.
Funding
The program is funded by the KEC.
Up to two or three schools will be selected to receive funding for 2026-2028.
Successful schools will receive $10,000 per year for 3 years to support a Korean language program..
The fund can be used, for example, to supplement a Korean language teacher’s salary or to purchase any relevant Korean language resources. The school should endeavour to self-fund the program after the funding from KEC expires.
Schools interested in participating must submit an expression of interest and commit to the program’s requirements and timeline. The expression of interest should include a detaild plan for the implementation of a Korean language program from 2026 -2028. For more information about the KPASP including the expression of interest form, please visit the Korean Education Centre website (www.auskec.kr --> English --> Notice --> The Korean Plant a School Program).
