2016 TOPIK to take place on Oct. 15 (Sat)

The Korean Education Centre in Sydney (Director: Mr. Soo Hwan Kang) announced that a total of 500 people are to take the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), which takes place upcoming Saturday on October 15 in 6 different states with 18 venues.

The TOPIK exam in Australia is supervised by the National Institute for International Education(NIIED) of Korea and managed by the Korean Education Centre of Sydney. The exam's purpose is to present the directions of the Korean language education to foreigners and overseas Koreans who do not use Korean as their first language, and to spread the Korean language and utilize its results in terms of studying abroad; employment; examining the Korean language ability; etc.

Starting from this year, applications were received through the newly built online support system. Applicants need to print their identification slips from the TOPIK homepage(www.auskec.kr), keep an ID card as specified in the notice(e.g. passport), and arrive at the venue about 40 minutes before the start of the exam.
